Micron level choice is a function of processes or material being cut:
- Carbide, Carbon, or Graphite use 0.35 to 1 micron
- Tool Steel use 3 to 5 micron
- Gold use 1 to 5 micron
- Stainless Steel, Brass, or Copper use 5 to 10 micron
- Aluminum use 10 to 20 micron
There is a minimum quantity of four per order.

Filtration Media for the Royal RL-623-56 direct interchange
Our filter media is backed by ISO 16889 multi-pass testing and other ISO/SAE test protocols. Optimized cellulose media is used for fine filtration, just like theRoyal RL-623-56 EDM filter to be replaced. Our cellulose filters use the optimal amount of media and pleats to ensure high dirt-holding capacity. The correct number and design of pleats in the element will give you the lowest initial pressure drop. Therefore the filter will take longer to reach its change-out pressure drop which is usually 25 PSID.
